The Board of Governors is once again soliciting nominations for the annual Citizen Scholars Award. Since the award was created in 2007, 11 exceptional students have been chosen to receive this prestigious honor, and the Missouri State Board of Governors is expecting to recognize five more outstanding students this fall.
If you are a faculty or staff member who knows of a student who excels academically and exemplifies the Public Affairs mission, please download the nomination packet from this site and submit them to the Office of Student Affairs by 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 17, 2009. Please be sure to read the "Criteria for Consideration and Selection" sheet, and to provide ample amounts of detail in your submission.
Winners of the Citizen Scholar award are recognized at various times throughout the academic year, including athletic events, Board of Governors' functions, and award banquets. Recipients will also get their own Bearpath brick at Plaster Student Union, an engraved memento, and recognition on a plaque in Carrington Hall.
Questions or comments may be directed to the Office of Student Affairs in Carrington 200 (836-5526).
