About the award
The Citizen Scholar Award is the highest award available to Missouri State University students. Since the award’s inception in 2007, 101 exceptional students have been recognized for their stellar achievements with academics, community engagement and leadership.
The Board of Governors will solicit nominations for the 2025-2026 Citizen Scholar Award in July 2025. This is the highest award available to Missouri State University students. More information will be available for submitting nominations for the recognition of six more outstanding Citizen Scholars in the coming months.
Current Cohort
Each year, six winners are selected by Board of Governor members in recognition for their outstanding accomplishments and strength of character.
